On Saturday, the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated Jake Browning’s team, a former backup quarterback and rising star, 34-11, carrying on their franchise’s tradition of torturing the Cincinnati Bengals.
With two long touchdown passes to George Pickens, who has abruptly gone from a fantasy football bust to one of the most renowned athletes in the country following a four-catch, 195-yard performance, Steelers reserve turned starter Mason Rudolph lit up the scoreboard.

Entering their final two games against the Seahawks and Ravens on a high note, the Steelers are now 8-7 for the season.

After the quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers exceeded expectations in his performance against the Bengals, supporters began chanting “Mason Rudolph.” After the game, the coach of the Steelers praised Rudolph’s play.

Legendary pass rusher for the Steelers and former Wisconsin Badger TJ Watt offered words of encouragement to his team’s newest quarterback star as the festivities came to an end.

Watt: “I Don’t Feel Astonished”
After the game, Watt talked with a sideline reporter and said he wasn’t shocked by the former Oklahoma State standout’s strong performance. Rudolph did not throw an interception during a game while throwing for almost 300 yards.

With the Buffalo Bills leading the Chargers in Los Angeles 21-13 late in the third quarter, the Steelers are now ninth in the AFC and facing pressure from the Bills, Houston Texans, and other teams.

Next up for Rudolph and Watt and the team’s hopes of making the playoffs is a road game against Seattle.
