Colts security Due to a shoulder injury, Julian Blackmon was relegated to “out.”

Julian Blackmon, the safety for the Indianapolis Colts, had a shoulder injury during Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. As a result, Blackmon is now listed as out.
After hitting Atlanta Falcons running back Cordarrelle Patterson on a third and 14th catch, Blackmon was hurt early in the second quarter and did not play again.

Colts’ second-year security Blackmon was first replaced by Nick Cross.

Blackmon has made 14 starts this season and totaled 87 tackles (65 solo), 5 tackles for loss, 4 interceptions, 8 passes defensed, and 2 fumble recoveries.

Blackmon, who is nearing the conclusion of his contract year, had somewhat of a breakout year for the Colts.

He has been one of the secondary defenders for the Colts defense’s less well-known players. Hopefully, he returns to the field soon in good condition in time for a late-season playoff run.

The injury report for the Indianapolis Colts against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 16 was made public ahead of the game. Center Jack Anderson, wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr., defensive tackle Eric Johnson II, cornerback Darrell Baker Jr., running back Zack Moss, linebacker Segun Olubi, and right tackle Braden Smith are among those not in action.

Running back Jonathan Taylor, who has been out for the last three weeks due to a forearm injury, is back in the starting lineup for Indianapolis, which is important for their offense since Zack Moss was forced to leave the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15.

Due to a hip ailment, linebacker Segun Olubi will not play on Sunday. This could give linebacker Ronnie Harrison Jr. additional playing time. In the snaps that Harrison Jr. has played this season, he has recorded two interceptions.

After being cleared before Sunday’s game, wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. re-entered the NFL’s concussion protocol. Due to the absence of Indianapolis’ best veteran pass catcher against Atlanta, second-year wide receiver Alec Pierce may receive greater attention. Pierce has 426 yards of receiving.
