OHIO STATE BUCKEYES HAS GIVEN AN INDEFINITELY SUSPENSION TO.

Ryan Day, the football coach at Ohio State, announced at the start of his press conference on Monday that backup tight end Bennett Christian will not be playing in any games this season.

Christian will continue to practice with the team this season, according to Day, who stated that Christian tested positive for an unreported prohibited substance during an NCAA-mandated test in January.

Day remarked, “He’s a wonderful young man who made a mistake. “He accepts his responsibility.”

“I am sorry that I put myself in this position and even more disappointed to have let down my teammates, coaching staff, and family,” Christian said in a statement released on Monday.

Day continued by saying that in the keenly contested quarterback competition, neither Devin Brown nor Kyle McCord has proven to be superior to the other.

Though each quarterback was “hot and cold” and inconsistent at different times during a closed scrimmage on Saturday, they did exhibit some encouraging traits.

Day stated that nothing has been confirmed regarding the offensive line, which raises another important question. Josh Fryar seemed to be the front-runner at left tackle a week ago, but Day said he’s now on the right side. Tegra Tshabola and Josh Simmons are vying for the starting left tackle position, according to Day.

According to his coach, running back TreVeyon Henderson is looking excellent so far during camp.

“Trey has had a great offseason, and he’s had a great first 10 days of practice,” Day stated. “He’s looking more quickly and can see the holes. I’m at a loss for words regarding the quality of work he’s currently doing.”

Day then enumerated the other four running backs, perhaps hinting at an embarrassing level of wealth. However, by October of last year, the majority of Miyan Williams, Evan Pryor, Dallan Hayden, and Chip Trayanum were either sidelined completely or at least seriously hurt.

“Halfway through the season we couldn’t find a running back,” Day said.

The Buckeyes were ranked third in the Associated Press preseason poll, which was released on Monday as well. Georgia, the two-time defending national champions, ranked first, with Michigan coming in at number two.

The Bennett The news conference on Monday wasn’t all bad news for Christians. Kourt Williams, a linebacker and safety, has sustained yet another injury—an ACL.

Day remarked, “He can’t seem to get a break.” “What an amazing young man he is. I’m sending him prayers. Everyone is uniting behind Kourt.”

In preparation for their Big Ten rival Indiana on September 2, the Buckeyes kicked off their second full week of preseason practice on Monday.

Marvin Harrison Jr., a wide receiver, is a candidate for the Heisman Trophy, and OSU is ranked among the top five teams in most preseason polls.
