Suddenly, Joseph Mazzulla Of Boston Celtics Insisted.
Jaylen Brown Will Not Play for the Celtics Against the Pistons.
According to NBA writer Tim Bontemps of ESPN, Jaylen Brown will not play for the Boston Celtics against the Detroit Pistons.
Brown has been injured in his back. On Christmas, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers kneeled the top player of the Celtics in the back.
To defeat the Pistons, the Celtics can win without Brown in the starting lineup. The NBA’s weakest team is Detroit. The team is just 2-28 for the season and has dropped 27 straight games.
Brown is shooting 47.8% from the field, 33.5% from beyond the arc, and 73.4% from the free-throw line this season while averaging 22.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists for the Celtics. In terms of points scored per game, rebounds per game, and assists per game, the two-time All-Star ranks second on the squad.
With a 23-6 record, the Celtics have the best record in the NBA. With Brown, Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, and Kristaps Porzingis leading the way, they appear to be a serious contender for the championship. Boston is expected to thrash Detroit tonight and save its best players for the fourth quarter.
Brown stated to Jay King of The Athletic back on December 7 that he feels like he’s “playing the best basketball” of his life at the moment.
“I think I’m playing the best basketball of my life, both on and off the ball,” Brown remarked. “I think I’ve changed as a player. My essence remains the same. My tone will always be one of aggression, but at the same time, I’m viewing the floor, making the appropriate reads, and attempting to engage people.
Whether the Celtics can win the championship this year will be interesting to see. The group undoubtedly possesses every element required to win it all.
