Tyreek Hill is not going to be disciplined for an incident at a port in South Florida where he allegedly smacked a charter boat employee in the back of the head.

The NFL declared that Hill, the outstanding receiver for the Miami Dolphins and top player overall, will not face any suspension or fines for his part in the incident, which Hill resolved with the purported victim.

A spokesman for the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, Ed Griffith, stated last month that no charges had been brought and that the case was ended.

The person who “would have been termed a victim if there had been a filed case” met with Assistant State Attorney Robert Fiallo and signed a document indicating he did not wish to pursue charges, according to a written statement made available to the media.

According to Griffith, “he also stated on the form that no promises, threats, or coercion had any influence on his decision.”

Hill addressed the issue in public after the Dolphins’ first training camp practice, stating, “I can’t make boneheaded mistakes like that.”

Hill had been absent from practice for the previous two days due to “an excused absence.”

After taking three days off, the Dolphins returned to practice on Monday to start full-fledged preparations for their season opener on September 10 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
