Pass rusher for the Indianapolis Colts and current All-Pro DeForest Buckner says he’s thrilled to play quarterback Carson Wentz for his own team and the Tennessee Titans in the AFC South this season. The Titans recently added Julio Jones to their roster.

Both of the opposing teams believe they have improved this offseason as they compete for a division title. This month, Buckner said during an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show that Wentz seems to be on a mission to prove he’s still a top-tier quarterback following a disastrous tenure in Philadelphia.

Buckner claims that the Colts are motivated by the fact that Tennessee is the team that everyone believes will win the division.

According to Buckner, playing the Titans twice a year will be much more enjoyable. This quote comes from Jonathan Simmons of the Indianapolis Star. “I adore this game; it gets more interesting as the challenge increases. I enjoy competing against the best because, as they say, “to be the best, you gotta beat the best,” and they currently have one of the best teams in the league.

Remarks Despite missing three games, Kevin Wade of Duck Territory was named to Buckner’s first All-Pro First Team last season. Over the course of 13 games, he finished the season with 45 total tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, 7.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. When the defensive tackle was forced to miss a game against, Buckner’s significance was highlighted.
