The NFL’s 2023 regular season concluded on a win-and-in Sunday for three teams. However, the Tennessee Titans defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 28–20.
The AFC playoff field was impacted for a longer time by the Jaguars’ defeat. There are 58 players from Alabama high schools and colleges on the rosters of the 14 teams that will compete to determine the winner of Super Bowl LVIII. Additionally, 19 players with Alabama football ancestry are on the practice squads of the postseason teams. For every game, two members of the practice squad may be added to the active roster by each team. Out of the 14 teams, 12 players from the state are on injured reserve. The No. 1 seeds in each conference, the San Francisco 49ers (12-5) in the NFC and the Baltimore Ravens (13-4) in the AFC, earned first-round byes.
