The duo performed “The Victors” on Tuesday, January 9th, on “Live with Kelly and Mark” to commemorate Michigan football’s 34-13 triumph over Washington in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
Consuelos remarked, “It’s nice to win,” to applause from the assembly. “Winning feels so good.”
Joaquin Consuelos, the couple’s son, wrestles for the Wolverines as a redshirt sophomore. Since their son’s matriculation in 2021, they have jokingly claimed credit for the football team’s winning run of three games against Ohio State.
Mark Consuelos said on Tuesday’s show that the family has had a great deal of football success, ranging from three consecutive Big Ten titles to Monday night’s national championship.
“We’ve just won since we became parents of a Michigan student,” he remarked “So you’re claiming credit?” laughed Ripa Indeed, Consuelos grinned and replied.
The Wolverines were congratulated by Ripa and Consuelos for winning their first complete national championship since 1948. In 1997, Nebraska and the Wolverines also shared the championship. Additionally, when Michigan football won the national championship on Monday night, at least one superhero was on their side.
On Tuesday, January 9, Lynda Carter, the star of the 1970s Wonder Woman show, sent a message on social media with the hashtag “Go Blue.” Her daughter, Jessica Carter Altman, recently graduated from the University of Michigan Law School.
Carter posted on X, now known as Twitter, saying, “I’ve always been proud to be a Michigan Mom, and today is no different.” “We are proud of our national champions!”
