The Indianapolis Colts made an announcement regarding owner Jim Irsay’s health on Tuesday morning. Irsay supposedly hasn’t been spotted in public in a while. The Colts’ Saturday night loss to the Houston Texans took them out of the playoff picture. Colts’ statement on team owner Jim Irsay: “Jim Irsay is currently being treated for a severe respiratory illness. While this unfortunately means he won’t be able to perform with his band this week in Los Angeles, he is receiving excellent care and looks forward to returning to the stage as soon as possible. In advance of their wildcard game on Saturday, the Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans underwent walkthroughs on Tuesday. The Browns didn’t feel the need to push it, even though they rested a large number of their players, and those that did play on Sunday. Despite the fact that both clubs rested a lot of players, there are still some noteworthy observations.

Dustin Hopkins, the kicker for the Browns, is “unlikely” to play this week, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski. This week, Riley Patterson will most likely be the one kicking again. Thankfully, he has performed well in domes. Additionally, Stefanski mentioned that safety Grant Delpit might return this week as he recovers from a groin ailment. Delpit would offer the Browns more alternatives, but they could probably get by with a combination of Juan Thornhill and Ronnie Hickman. They may have a stronger desire to use all three of their safeties, returning to the defense’s configuration during Rodney McLeod’s heyday.

A number of Browns players took an extra day off, but Cedric Tillman, the wide receiver, is still in the concussion protocol. It is less likely that Tillman will be able to play because this game is on a Saturday. In Tillman’s place, the Browns might require more from Marquise Goodwin and David Bell.

Due to a back injury he sustained on Sunday, running back Pierre Strong Jr. was sidelined. The fact that the team hasn’t added another running back could mean they believe he will be ready to go. If absolutely required, they could use John Kelly Jr., but Strong is also useful on special teams. It’s important to note that Herb Miller did visit the Browns on Tuesday for a tryout. Miller, a corner acquired via trade, made 13 appearances with
