NEW YORK (AP) — The NHL penalised William Lockwood, a forward for the Florida Panthers, three games on Saturday for goalie interference.

Lockwood was given a penalty for slapping Marc-Andre Fleury of Minnesota when the goalkeeper moved behind the net to play a puck that was put in early in Friday night’s Panthers 6-4 loss to the Wild. The NHL described Lockwood’s shoulder-to-head hit on Fleury as “reckless” in order to justify the suspension. At 2:13 in the game, he was given a minor penalty.

Fleury stopped ten of the eleven shots he faced before being replaced halfway through the second period.

Check out what Toney had to say, but be warned: the presentation of his rant may not be suitable for all audiences:Marc-Andre Fleury

Not a single other source has affirmed Toney’s claim as true. He reportedly brought a child into the world on Saturday, which helped to explain why he was not allowed to play against Baltimore. Toney had a hectic weekend because January 28 was also his birthday.
