Draymond Green, a former colleague of Kevin Durant on the Golden State Warriors, was given an indefinite suspension by the NBA. Following Wednesday night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets, the star player for the Phoenix Suns responded to the announcement.
The Suns big three—Durin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Durant—played together for the first time that season, but the Nets won, spoiling the evening. Durant was questioned about Green’s suspension after the loss for striking KD’s teammate Jusuf Nurkic on Tuesday.
“Seeing that was insane. Happy Nurk is doing well. Never witnessed that in an NBA game on a basketball court before. I hope Draymond receives the support he require. event after event has occurred,” stated Durant.
“I know Draymond, and he hasn’t been that way when I was around coming into the league,” said the player. “Hopefully, he gets the help he needs and gets back on the court, and puts all the stuff behind him.”
The NBA has given the Warriors forward an indefinite suspension for striking Nurkic during the game. Green will also be receiving counselling, and he won’t be allowed to rejoin the league unless he satisfies specific requirements.
For Green, this is already the fourth high-profile occasion in the past year. Notably, just before the 2022–23 season began, he punched Jordan Poole, who was then his teammate, during a Warriors practice. He was punished for viciously stomping on Domantas Sabonis of the Sacramento Kings during the playoffs the previous year. He received a five-game suspension this season for strangling Minnesota Timberwolves centre Rudy Gobert during a game.
In Thursday’s Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens game against LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, Marius Grigonis was listed as questionable. The uncertainty has been dispelled.
According to SDNA, the Lithuanian guard has recovered from his injuries and is ready to play. Achilles’ discomfort troubled Grigonis, so much so that he was unable to play in the most recent Greek League match against PAOK Mateco. He went to France with the team, trained on Wednesday, and is scheduled to perform on Thursday.
Juancho Hernangomez will compete in addition to Grigonis. He had previously missed more than a month of time due to a fracture to his left little finger. The younger Hernangomez sibling will participate in his first Euroleague contest since a game against FC Barcelona in early November.
