WT Willie Gault has been involved in an indefinitely suspension by SEC for…

Due to the altercation that started after the conclusion of the Florida game on Saturday night, a crucial member of the Tennessee Vols will miss the first half of UT’s game against UTSA on Saturday.

Omarr Norman-Lott, a transfer from Arizona State who plays defence for the Vols, will not play in the first half of their match against UTSA due to a suspension he received for punching a player from Florida.

Additionally, three Florida players will be ineligible to play in the first half of the Gators’ next game.

For his part in the altercation, Vols cornerback Kamal Hadden did not get a suspension. Hadden was observed “squared up” with Micah Mazzaccua, an offensive lineman for Florida. However, it was clear from the game’s TV broadcast that Hadden was only defending himself after attempting to break up the brawl.
Hadden shared his version of events on Instagram as soon as the game was over.

With nine seconds remaining, Vols head coach Josh Heupel requested a timeout before the Gators’ fourth down play, which sparked the altercation. Graham Mertz, the quarterback for Florida, received the snap on fourth down and attempted to gain some yardage in the backfield before he took a knee. Omari Thomas, a defensive lineman for Tennessee, attempted to avoid hitting Mertz when the quarterback was about to kneel.
Thomas gave his perspective on Monday’s events at the Knoxville Quarterback Club.
