DAIEL FARKE HAS NOW ACCEPTED THE SIGN IN OF A STAR PLAYER AGAINST THEIR…

Following Leeds United’s confirmation that Jack Jenkins, 21, had departed Elland Road, Joe Gelhardt sent the 21-year-old an emotional five-word note.

On January 31, the Whites announced on their official club website that the midfielder has joined Halifax Town of the National League, leaving West Yorkshire.

Having progressed through the Thorp Arch club’s ranks, Jenkins has a wealth of recollections with his childhood companions. He soon established himself as a fixture in the younger age groups, scoring the game-winning goal that secured the Under-23s’ title as Premier League 2 winners for the 2020–2021 campaign.

After spending the first half of the 2023–24 season on loan with Scunthorpe United, he made his first appearance for the team in January 2021. However, that would be his only appearance for Leeds at that level. As a result, he has since left the club permanently.

It would not have been easy for Jenkins to say goodbye to Thorp Arch after all these years, as he made evident when he took to social media to write his farewell message to the team that gave him his football debut.

“I want to thank all the players and staff I have worked with at Leeds United for the past 16 years,” Jenkins posted on his official Instagram on January 31. With the club I grew up in, I was able to create memories and have incredible experiences that I will never forget.
