On Monday, the Red Sox will commemorate “truck day,” marking the beginning of a 1,480-mile journey that starts on Van Ness Street outside of Fenway Park.
Al Hartz, a native of Milford, Massachusetts, has been named by the Red Sox to drive the 53-foot truck for 27 years running. The journey includes a stop at Worcester, Massachusetts’ Polar Park, where WooSox supporters and mascots will send the truck off.
