LB Luke Reimer has been given an indefinitely suspension by…

Husker coach Matt Rhule announced on the first day of the football team’s training camp that Luke Reimer, a two-year starter, was suspended in the summer and is not included in the team’s roster of 120 players.

When it comes to Farmer’s chances of coming back, Rhule added, “It’s just kind of day-by-day.” “Luke is my favourite. He is an eager learner. I understand that having a new coach who has different expectations than you is difficult. We’ve shown a lot of guys patience. We’ll watch Myles’s situation.

“He has the initiative now. I appreciate him as a man, even if we would love for him to be here.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Luke, who was part of the 2019 recruiting class, has 112 career tackles and four career interceptions in 26 games. He started on the field sometimes in 2021 and full-time in 2022, finishing with 73 tackles and an interception.

Following a ticket for suspected DUI in early November, Luke was suspended for the Michigan game in 2024. Luke entered a plea of not guilty to that charge in February 2023 and was placed under home arrest for seven days.
He has been vying with Isaac Gifford, a graduate of Lincoln Southeast, for the new rover place on NU’s D.

Malcom, an eight-man standout at Fremont-Mills (Iowa) High School, was stuck at linebacker after NU shifted safeties John Bullock and Kaine Williams to the position in order to accommodate additional transfers.

Three-star prospect Androff was similarly stuck in a tight end bind; there was never any truth to the rumours that Androff would develop into an offensive LB.
