The Texas Rangers Charley Pride Fellowship Programme provides college students from all backgrounds with an opportunity to gain practical work experience through a summer internship in the front office of the team.
Applications are being accepted for the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation’s 2024 Charley Pride Fellowship Programme.

Five college students from a variety of backgrounds are being sought after by the team to work as front office staff members for the World Series champion Texas Rangers during the summer.

The internship programme, which is a collaboration between the Rangers Foundation and Roland Parrish and his Parrish Charitable Foundation, is in its fourth year.

In memory of the late country music icon Charley Pride, the programme was developed. Pride was very connected to the Rangers franchise.

The program’s goal is to create a springboard for students from all backgrounds who want to work as front desk employees in Major League Baseball.

“The Charley Pride Fellowship Programme interns are starting to become well-known as they perform well in the front offices of American professional sports clubs. We all stand to gain from this, according to Parrish.

The five fellows, chosen according to their interests, will be employed, trained, and supported by the Rangers Foundation while they work in shifts across three front office departments. During this 10-week paid internship programme, these students will acquire vital skills that will help them in their future jobs in sports or any other profession.

Sunday marks the next destinations for the Coca-Cola-sponsored 2024 Kroger Winter Caravan, which features the champion Texas Rangers of the World Series, in Mansfield and North Richland Hills.

The scheduled Caravan stops include right-handers Dane Dunning and Grant Anderson, left-hander Jake Latz, and first baseman Nathaniel Lowe.

The simultaneous stops will include autograph signings from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at local Kroger stores.

While Lowe and Anderson sign at the North Richland Hills Kroger (9150 N. Tarrant Parkway, North Richland Hills, TX 76182), which offers photo ops with Rangers mascot Captain, Dunning and Latz sign at the Mansfield Kroger (3300 E. Broad Street, Mansfield, TX 76063) next to the Commissioner’s Trophy.

Appearing on 95.1% (366 of 385) of the ballots, Texas Rangers great Adrián Beltré was the top vote-getter for the Baseball Hall of Fame and earned a seat in Cooperstown in his first year of eligibility. Nobody else scored as high as 80%.
