All-Star added to the Celtics injury report for the Grizzlies game.
When the Celtics host the Grizzlies at TD Garden on Sunday at 6 p.m., they might not have enough players. Luke Kornet is classified as probable due to a left hamstring injury, and Jaylen Brown is categorised as questionable due to low back soreness.
Given that Brown wasn’t previously included on the injury report, it looks like his ailment is recent. However, given that the forward was just chosen an All-Star for the third time in his career, it shouldn’t be a major concern. Recently, Kornet has been plagued by a hamstring ailment that has prevented him from playing in games.
For the first time since his summer trade, Marcus Smart is returning to Boston with the Celtics. But because of a hand injury, the guard will be unable to play. The Grizzlies are only 18-31 on the season, which is a major slowdown caused by injuries.
The C’s also want to get back on track following their disappointing loss to the Lakers in their previous game. LeBron James and Anthony Davis left Los Angeles shorthanded, but the Lakers shot incredibly well from beyond the 3-point line to deny Boston the victory. The C’s record of 37-12 remains the best in the league.
