Following his suspension, Fatawu Issahaku immediately contributes to Leicester City.

In Leicester City’s 5-0 Championship victory over Stoke City on Saturday, Fatawu Issahaku made a spectacular comeback from suspension by setting up Patson Daka’s first goal.

The Foxes were ahead after three minutes thanks to two goals in as many minutes. First, Patson Daka scored from close range following a nice passing move, and then Kasey McAteer’s deflected drive found the back of the net.

Once Wout Faes was fouled, Daka scored his third from the penalty spot.

Seven minutes later, Jamie Vardy completed the onslaught with a fourth goal as he connected with a cross from James Justin. The former England striker then added a stoppage-time penalty.

The 19-year-old forward, who is currently on loan from Sporting Lisbon, has already contributed two goals and eight assists to the Foxes’ league total this season.

Issahaku’s outstanding performance follows a three-match suspension for a callous challenge that resulted him a red card during Leicester’s January match against Coventry.

Additionally, the adolescent was reportedly left off of the AFCON 2023 roster, despite having opted out.

Issahaku has shown himself to be a useful asset for Leicester City in spite of these setbacks, adjusting well and emerging as a major figure in their attempt to make a Premier League comeback.

With 11 points separating them from second place, the Foxes are certain to get promoted. Should Issahaku’s transfer become permanent, this might result in him playing in the Premier League the following season.
