The Brooklyn Nets lose badly to the Golden State Warriors as a result of their sluggish second half.

3 Takeaways from Brooklyn Nets weak loss to Golden State Warriors - NetsDaily

This Brooklyn vs. visiting Golden State Warriors game included just eight players. The Nets fell apart in the second half, losing 98 to 109 under coach Jacque Vaughn’s leadership due to this shaky rotation.

Mikal Bridges played 43 minutes but only managed 13 points, while Cameron Thomas led the Nets with 18 points. Due to injuries sustained during the game, the former Villanova Wildcat was worn out in the closing minutes of play. Nic Claxton, who scored 15 points and had seven blocks, is also deserving of praise.

Brooklyn’s recent offensive success can be attributed to their emphasis on ball movement and obtaining open looks. This game proved to be an exception as the offence faltered, particularly after injuries to Cameron Johnson and Lonnie Walker IV.

Coach Steve Kerr saw that Bridges, Thomas, and Spencer Dinwiddie carried the offensive load. The Dubs won because the Warriors focused on stopping those three players.

Walker and Johnson were the only shooters they had, so they couldn’t alleviate the three of the pressure defence. While Royce O’Neale made every effort to keep the Nets close, his four-quarter three-point shooting spree was too much for him. His 15 points, though, were insufficient to defeat the Warriors.

Stephen Curry, who scored 29 points, and Jonathan Kuminga, who put on an incredible display with 28 points and 10 rebounds, were the standouts for Golden State. The Warriors put on an incredible show as they recovered from the devastating defeat to Atlanta a few days prior.
Due to the absences of Walker and Johnson, the Nets already had three players from the normal rotation sitting out this game. Although their injuries don’t seem to be a problem, they could stop the team’s momentum from previous wins.

Because of tonight’s game against the Dallas Mavericks, Brooklyn is unable to get any rest. It will be an opportunity to recover from this dismal outcome, particularly because Ben Simmons is probably going to be playing.
