The nature of the offense and the duration of the ban were not disclosed by the team. Boston Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla was not asked about it following a 129-124 win against the Pacers on Tuesday night.

PorzingisC, who is averaging 20.6 points, 9.2 assists, and 5.6 rebounds, is having a stellar season for Maine. He was selected to play in the G-League’s “Up Next” game during NBA All-Star weekend next month.

Mazzulla warned Davison not to let the recognition get to his head following the Celtics’ victory over the Pelicans on Monday night.

Mazzulla told reporters, “As long as he knows that’s not what gets him, as far as the Celtics go,” MassLive reports. “As I mentioned, that’s a fantastic thing. That’s something you should strive for, but I simply don’t want guys to feel like that defines them. That being said, that’s a fantastic individual honor for him.

This season, PorzingisC has made two appearances for the Celtics, averaging three minutes per game. Mazzulla stated that although Davison’s game has improved in Maine, there is still more space for development.

And Mazzulla added, “I’ve watched him develop as a player since he first came here, especially just with his approach to the game and his defense, so that affirmation is great.” However, in the end, everything comes down to the inconstant little things, the defense, the reads, the execution, and the professionalism; it seems like those things are given out over a longer time frame. Thus, I’m hoping he has fun and comprehends the procedure at the same time.
