Cincinnati’s appointment ofJustin Rascati  to the newly created role of passing game coordinator is by far their most significant move. Rascati, who was the Minnesota Vikings’ assistant offensive line coach the previous season, is a young, quickly rising coach, much like the rest of the Cincinnati coaching staff. He spent the two years leading up to that as an offensive assistant with the Denver Broncos (2019– 2021). After playing quarterback for the University of Louisville and James Madison University from 2003 to 2006, he also spent seven years in college.

In an effort to do their research, the organization also took the anticipated step of elevating assistant quarterbacks coach Brad Kragthorpe to the post of quarterbacks coach following a few brief interviews. Under head coach Zac Taylor, Kragthorpe began as an offensive assistant in 2019 and has since advanced through the ranks.
