Tyreek Hill, a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, announced that he will pay the fine for an NFL photographer who was punished after joining him in celebration following a touchdown earlier in the season.

Week 6 versus the Carolina Panthers featured a 41-yard touchdown run by Hill, which Kevin Fitzgibbons, the NFL’s contracted photographer for Dolphins home games, was behind the endzone for. Before returning the phone to Fitzgibbons, Hill snatched it from him and recorded a backflip. The video was uploaded to the NFL’s UK Twitter account, and it was quickly deleted.

Earlier this week, Fitzgibbons stated on social media that he had been suspended for the remainder of the season and “possibly for good” for celebrating with Hill.
“In a video, Fitzgibbons stated, ‘I had to be disciplined and I shouldn’t have jumped on the sidelines after the play, regardless of whether I knew the celebration was coming or not,” according to the NFL.
Hill was criticized for using a prop to celebrate the play, but in his postgame interview for Week 6, he cleared Fitzgibbons of any wrongdoing. He claimed on Thursday that he will make up for any lost income and that he and Fitzgibbons are lifelong friends.

“K-Fitz and I have a long history together,” Hill remarked, as reported by ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques. The information was something I was already aware of. Don’t let this get to you, I advised him. Simply raise your head. You’re still quite young. Keep doing what you enjoy doing.

We are going to keep working together, him and I.

“I assured him that I would pay his salary, regardless of what the NFL would pay him.” I assured him that I would make sure to follow moral principles, look out for you, and ensure that you had a job. I like that man.

According to an NFL insider who spoke with Louis-Jacques, Fitzgibbons, a 20-year-old University of Miami student, is still employed by the NFL and is permitted to attend events going forward. At the conclusion of his video, he expressed his understanding of the NFL’s decision and expressed gratitude to the league for the opportunity.
