The previous two months have seen a lot of change for the Alabama football program with the departure of Nick Saban and the appointment of Kalen DeBoer. There is turnover in the program at many levels, but one of the most obvious is in terms of personnel on the field, as is the case with every coaching change.

Although the football program has suffered some losses due to the transfer portal, DeBoer and his staff have also made significant efforts to add talented players from the portal to the roster. Before coming to Washington, he spent two seasons as a player at Cal Poly. For the Pac-12 winners, Cuevas participated in all 15 games and had four receptions for 164 yards and a score.
