After pleading guilty early to a Grade 2 Crusher Tackle charge in the Pre-Season Challenge, Sea Eagles prop Toafofoa Sipley will miss the first three games of the season.

Sipley will miss Manly’s match against the Rabbitohs in Las Vegas as well as Rounds 2 and 3 after receiving a citation for his offense against Dominic Young, which led to the Roosters winger being transported to the hospital on Saturday as a precaution.

Although Zyon Maiu’u, a rookie for the Warriors, was found guilty at the Tuesday night court, he was able to get his charge of Grade 2 Reckless High Tackle reduced to Grade 3 Careless High Tackle, which carried a two-game suspension.

Samuela Fainu, a recent addition to the Wests Tigers, entered an early guilty plea to a Grade 1 Careless High Tackle charge stemming from his team’s match against the Warriors. He was also fined $1,000.

Titans forward Klese Haas was fined $1000 and pled guilty early to a charge of contrary conduct.

In the NRL Telstra Premiership, the Rabbitohs will be without their key recruit Jack Wighton until Round 3, with Raider Seb Kris and Rooster Jared Waerea-Hargreaves making their comeback in Round 2.

After Canberra’s loss to the Knights in the elimination final of the previous season, Wighton was given a three-game suspension; the All Stars game will be the first of his suspension.

After that, he won’t be there for South Sydney’s games against the Sea Eagles and Broncos before playing the Roosters again in Round  While Raider Seb Kris and Rooster Jared Waerea-Hargreaves will return in Round 2, the Rabbitohs will be without their top recruit Jack Wighton until Round 3 of the NRL Telstra Premiership.

The All Stars game will be Wighton’s first game of a three-game suspension that he received after Canberra’s elimination final loss to the Knights in the previous season.

After that, he won’t be able to watch his new team, South Sydney, play the Sea Eagles and Broncos before playing the Roosters again in Round 3.
