J.C. Jackson, a cornerback with the Los Angeles Chargers, allegedly has a legal problem at his previous residence.

Jackson played his first four years of professional football with the New England Patriots. According to Chris Mason of MassLive, Jackson missed his probation violation hearing on Friday, which resulted in a warrant for his arrest out of Massachusetts.

Jackson allegedly disregarded the conditions of his probation after his initial arrest and criminal speeding accusation in 2021. Mason mentioned that he didn’t finish the “Brains at Risk” training that was required of him or pay the $300 fine. The last straw that resulted in the arrest warrant was the defendant’s Friday nonattendance in court.

Following his healthy scratch from the Chargers’ Sunday game against the Minnesota Vikings, word of Jackson’s legal issues has surfaced. With a 28-24 triumph, Los Angeles claimed its first victory of the year. Following the game, head coach Brandon Staley talked on Jackson’s absence.

“It was a coach’s decision,” Staley informed the media. “We felt this was the right group for this game, and really nothing more than that.”

Jackson’s situation was not revealed by Staley’s reaction, but when questioned if the former Pro Bowl player would be back in the starting lineup, he responded incoherently, stating, “It’s to be determined.”

Jackson joined the Chargers as a free agent and is currently in the second year of a five-year, $82.5 million contract. Given that he was only able to play in five games in 2022 because of a ruptured patellar tendon, he has mainly failed to live up to expectations. This year, through two games, he has tallied three tackles and one interception—his first since moving to Los Angeles.
