By the beginning of April, Michael Olise should be able to resume first-team training, according to Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner.

However, the former Eintracht Frankfurt manager has stated that he want to assist the attacker in getting well.

In the 4-1 loss to Brighton, the 22-year-old had his third hamstring injury of the year and was replaced after just 11 minutes of play.

Olise has started mild individual training already in an effort to expedite his recuperation.

The French youth international’s season was marred by injuries from the start, having surgery in the summer to repair a grade three hamstring tear he sustained at the U21 Euros.

Following a setback in his recuperation, Olise did not play in the Premier League again until November, when he made a cameo appearance as a substitute in Everton’s 3-2 home loss.

Before returning to the sidelines, the former Reading young player contributed nine goals in ten appearances.

Olise’s goal in the 2-1 loss at Luton earned him the London Football Awards Goal of the Year award on Thursday night.

“It was nice that Michael got the goal of the year award yesterday evening,” stated Glasner.

He deserves our congratulations, which we all gave him today. Like all the other players, Michael wants to train in football.

He finds it difficult to run and practice in the gym as he is unable to play football.

“We anticipate his return by the end of March or April, [if] all goes according to plan and our medical department performs exceptionally well.

He also has a lot of ambition to train with us. Perhaps he can practice with us after the national team break.

Since it was his third injury of the season, we will tend to him.
