ACCORDING TO EPSN: Richmond SIGNED AN EXTENDED CONTRACT OF $750M WITH…

Richmond extension is signed by Dow.

In the final three AFL games of the season, the 21-year-old played a significant role, averaging 21.3 disposals and four tackles, including a career-high 27 touches against Port Adelaide in the previous week.

Coaches gave Dow a vote for the outstanding effort, which included six clearances and 13 disputed possessions.

Recalled for most of the season, the 184cm athletic midfielder had been in excellent form while playing in the VFL.

Since being picked with the Club’s first pick, No. 21 overall, in the 2019 AFL Draft, Dow has appeared in 17 senior games for the Tigers.
Football Talent: General Manager of Richmond Blair Hartley stated that he should be extremely confident heading into the 2024 season due to Dow’s positive late-season performance.

“It was pleasing to see Thomson play some really strong football when given an opportunity late in the year, which is a reward for the hard work he has put in over the past four years,” Hartley stated.

“With this agreement, we look forward to watching Thompson continue to develop next season. He has a skill set that can contribute something to our midfield mix.

“We are thrilled to have Thomson stay on at Richmond.”
Other contract news: Jack Graham, Kamdyn McIntosh, and Marlion Pickett—all dual premiership players—have agreed to contract trigger extensions for the upcoming season, meaning they will stay at Richmond through 2024.

This season, Graham, 25, participated in 20 games for Richmond, bringing his career total to 117. In 2019 he was awarded the Francis Bourke Award for best emulating Club principles, and in 2021 he finished second in the Jack Dyer Medal competition.

With the deal, McIntosh will begin his 12th season with the Club. He has participated in 168 games since being chosen with selection No. 31 in the 2012 AFL Draft out of Western Australia.
