Derwin James Jr of Los Angeles Chargers has been given an indefinite suspension for…

The NFL debated suspending the three-time Pro Bowler, but James will not lose any time, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, even though the league agreed on the personal foul penalty of unnecessary roughness against him.

It’s possible, though, that James might still face fines from the NBA.

The play took place during the game’s second quarter. With 5:23 remaining, Dulin was hit hard in the head and neck region by James after Nick Foles made a pass to him.

After the hit and the ensuing penalty, Dulin was ruled out with a concussion and James was removed from the game. After Monday’s game, Chargers football coach Brandon Staley defended his star safety, claiming that James’s hit on Dulin was the outcome of an offensive play.

According to Joel A. Erickson of the Indianapolis Star, Staley stated, “I’ve seen him make a lot of tackles on plays like that, and I know that his target was not above the neck. I know that.” James has 109 tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles, and two interceptions this season. Los Angeles (9–6) secured a postseason spot with its victory over Indianapolis and will play the Rams on Sunday before traveling to the Broncos for their regular season finale on January 8.
