After a disorganized possession, Josh Hart made the game-winning shot with 2.8 seconds remaining, and the New York Knicks defeated the Detroit Pistons 113-111 on Monday night in the NBA.

With 20 seconds left, Jalen Brunson, who finished with 35 points and 12 assists for the Knicks, missed a 3-point shot, which sparked a frenzied back-and-forth play that ended with Hart’s basket.

Ausur Thompson of Detroit snagged a pass from Donte DiVincenzo. However, when a collision along the sideline cost Thompson the ball, the Knicks recovered it and Brunson found Hart for a layup beneath the hoop.

DiVincenzo scored 21 points and Hart contributed 23 as the Knicks defeated the Pistons for the 14th consecutive game.

For Detroit, Jalen Duren had 16 rebounds and 11 points, while Cade Cunningham scored 32 points.

With 28 points from Bam Adebayo and 26 from Jaime Jaquez Jr., the Miami Heat defeated the Sacramento Kings for the fourth time in a row.

Caleb Martin scored 16 points and Kevin Love added 19 points off the bench to lead the Heat, who were without three players due to suspensions or injuries.

Domantas Sabonis of Sacramento recorded his 21st triple-double of the season with 14 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists, setting a record for the NBA. In addition, Sabonis became the tenth player in history to record 40 double-doubles in a single season.

De’Aaron Fox scored 27 and Keegan Murray scored 28 for Sacramento, who lost their three-game winning streak.

The Toronto Raptors defeated the Indiana Pacers behind All-Star Scottie Barnes’ 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists, his fourth triple-double of the year.

For the Raptors, RJ Barrett scored 24 points. Toronto won their third straight game with rookie Gradey Dick adding 18 points and matching his season high with four 3-pointers.

For the Pacers, Bennedict Mathurin scored 34 points, matching his career high. Against his previous team, Pascal Siakam finished with 27 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. Tyrese Haliburton, an All-Star, struggled for Indiana, however, only managing nine points in the end.

Kevin Ollie received his first NBA coaching victory when the Brooklyn Nets defeated the Memphis Grizzlies, led by 18 points from Dennis Schroder and 13 points and nine rebounds from Dorian Finney-Smith.

With 7:23 left in the game, Cam Thomas had already scored 14 points when he left due to a right ankle injury. For the Nets, Lonnie Walker IV added 13.

For the Grizzlies, Lamar Stevens scored 17 points on 8 of 9 shots, and Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 15 points on 2 of 12 shots from the field. Memphis shot 38.7% overall, and GG Jackson had an even worse night, hitting just one of his 13 attempts.

Since taking over as Brooklyn’s temporary coach in place of the sacked Jacque Vaughn, Ollie has improved to 1-2.
