Following Sunday’s 13-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns, Najee Harris was not in a good mood.
Following a lackluster offensive performance, the Pittsburgh Steelers running back voiced his dissatisfaction, particularly stating, “I’m just at a point where I’m tired of this s–t.”
Harris completed with 12 carries for 35 yards and 1 yard from one reception despite having little room to run. For long stretches, the offense was nonexistent as a whole; Kenny Pickett completed just 106 yards of passing for 10 points.
With Deshaun Watson out for the Browns, Pittsburgh’s defense played well enough to win, but the Steelers’ offensive performance caused them to drop to 6-4.
With more opportunities for Harris’ teammate running back, perhaps they could have won.
In addition to three receptions for 16 yards, Jaylen Warren had nine carries for 129 yards and one touchdown. He was the only attacking bright spot for the AFC North team during the defeat, and he even scored a touchdown pass from 74 yards out to give Pittsburgh some life in the second half.
Even yet, he only got nine carries at a yard per attempt of 14.3.
Harris is not the first offensive player to vent about the Steelers; earlier this month, wide receiver George Pickens removed comments about the team and wrote “free me” on a social media post that has since been removed.
Pittsburgh was ugly as they came into the game on Sunday, ranking 28th in yards (283.6) per game and 26th in points (17.3) in the league. Its defense has been a major factor in its recent success, but if the offense keeps playing at this dismal level, there is an obvious ceiling.
The division is currently dominated by the 8-3 Baltimore Ravens and the 7-3 Browns, and Harris’ annoyance with the whole thing was evident.
