Nottingham Forest have been deducted four points for breaching financial fair play regulations and for the first time, a key player has reacted to the latest news.

The Reds have slipped into the relegation zone on the back of the deduction. Although Forest drew with Luton on Saturday, Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are now below the Hatters in the table.

One player that Forest really needs to keep healthy this season is Anthony Elanga. In addition to his five goals and seven assists, he was the first player to comment on the news of a point deduction. Anthony Elanga responds to Nottingham Forest’s four-point deduction. This isn’t ideal, and it’s a little annoying that Forest is now in the drop zone after four points were taken away. Three goals would have kept the Reds ahead on goal differential, but this is what happened.

Forest have to get back to winning ways on the pitch sooner rather than later. Now, the grey cloud that has been hanging over the Reds has done and Elanga and his teammates have to get firing.

For the first time since the deduction was announced one Forest player has spoken to the press, with Elanga quizzed on the deduction.
