Wide receiver Chris Olave was arrested for reckless operation of a motor vehicle. The young wideout was traveling 70 MPH in a 35 MPH zone. He was cooperative with law enforcement and released from jail at 11:30 P.M. Now, the question becomes: Will he be punished by the league for his legal wrongdoing? The precedent set by the NFL says probably not. Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was cited for driving 140 MPH in a 55 MPH zone this year. He was not suspended by the NFL. There is a clear precedent set by the league office. Of course, that could change. The situation remains fluid. Regardless, if the NFL stands by their previous decisions, Olave will not get suspended for this incident. Only time will tell.
