The Philadelphia Eagles has officially informed qb Jalen Hurts that he is not permitted to work in any capacity for…

The Philadelphia Eagles lost 33-13 in Dallas on Sunday night, their second straight lopsided loss to an NFC contender.

The miserable performances were the team’s second straight loss of 20 or more points, following Philly’s 42-19 annihilation at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13. It was the first set of consecutive losses by 20 points or more since the Eagles’ 11–12 Weeks 11–12, 2015, when Chip Kelly was the head coach.

In his first game with no touchdowns, quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 18 of 27 passes for 197 yards and 30 rush yards. The Eagles offense managed just two pitiful field goals and three fumbles in seven drives that did not end in the half.

The signal-caller thinks the problems of late are just a cold and not an indication of something more serious.

Hurts stated, “It’s something that we’re going through, not necessarily stuck in,” according to the official transcript provided by the team. We must and will be able to learn from it. There’s also a desire to just keep moving forward.”

Philly hasn’t played a complete game in weeks, and all season has seemed a tad off. The Eagles barely eked out wins in previous contests, needing comebacks to beat Buffalo and Kansas City following the bye week.

Nick Sirianni’s club has overcome inconsistent play in one aspect or another to stack wins all season. At times, the defense has gotten lit up. At others, the offense turned it over or couldn’t gain traction. Early in the season, the other side of the ball picked up the other. The past two weeks, both sides cratered.

“We’ve got to internalize that and we’ve got to make sure that the adversity that we’re facing right now, we’re able to get through and make sure we get better from it,” Sirianni said.

Even though a division opponent is embarrassed, Philly is not in a panic. Philadelphia is still in control of their destiny in the division at 10-3, but having temporarily lost the lead in the NFC East.

In the grand scheme of things, the Eagles survived their most difficult five-game run, winning 3-2. Although it sucks that the last two were blowouts, considering that they might have easily gone 0-5, the result isn’t that bad.

Veteran defensive tackle Fletcher Cox stated, “I think the biggest thing for this team right now is really finding out who the dudes are.” “I’ve played on teams when things sort of fall apart and on teams where the guys in the locker room take action. However, this is the moment to demonstrate true leadership. I, along with the other leaders on this team, must take action.”
