Since the NBA season was halted, center Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat has shared daily “moods” on social media.
It seems as though Bam Adebayo’s Miami Heat fan group is waiting for updates by the phone or keyboard.
Adebayo, who was suspended for 30 days as a result of the coronavirus epidemic, has publicly expressed his weariness every day during the NBA’s 11-day work stoppage. He revealed his most recent “mood” on Twitter on Monday, sharing a photo of the American Family character Roger curled up in bed, seemingly engrossed in nothing more than fiddling with a box of chocolates. The image included the caption “Mood Pt. 11.”
Throughout the suspension, Adebayo has been one of the NBA players that has been posting updates on social media. It all began on March 13 when he uploaded a GIF of himself looking bored while sitting on the couch as SpongeBob SquarePants.
Since then, the tone has varied from Homer Simpson flexing in front of a mirror to cartoon characters hitting their heads on walls to comedy actors falling over furniture. This shows Adebayo is maintaining his physical fitness during the vacation.
The finest season of Adebayo’s three-year career was cut short by the suspension. He averages career-highs in points, rebounds, and assists and was selected for his first NBA All-Star Game.
During their confinement, Goran Dragic, Meyers Leonard, and Tyler Herro were also active. Dragic now has more time to practice his soccer skills with his kids. On Twitter, Herro and his supporters relived their high school years, and Leonard took part in two Call of Duty video game competitions, one of which included NBA players. The other one brought up close to $37,000 for the coronavirus pandemic sufferers.
The league has not yet disclosed its future intentions. Commissioner Adam Silver has only stated that after the 30-day period, he will reevaluate the circumstances. He declined to rule out canceling the remaining regular season when he spoke on TNT last week.
