Prospect Ty Mueller of the Vancouver Canucks just finished his NCAA career with the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Ty Mueller has agreed to a three-year, entry-level deal with the Vancouver Canucks. The 21-year-old forward has spent the previous three years playing at the University of Nebraska-Omaha after being selected by Vancouver in the fourth round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. His season ended recently when the University of Minnesota eliminated the Mavericks from the NCAA Men’s DI Ice Hockey Championship.

Mueller, who stands 5’11” and weighs 195 pounds, concluded his collegiate career with 64 points in 98 games. This season, he registered 108 shots on goal, 11 goals, and 26 points in 40 games. Mueller had a successful year in the faceoff circle as well, ending with a 55% faceoff win rate after winning 365 draws. Muller was selected as a Hobey Baker Award nominee for the second season in a row following a successful campaign. This year, Mueller was the only University of Nebraska-Omaha player to be nominated.

The second player from Vancouver’s 2023 draft class to sign is Mueller. He is in the same league as Sawyer Mynio, who signed in September. After signing undrafted free agent Christian Felton earlier this month, Mueller is the second NCAA player the Canucks have signed this year.
