Updated on April 12, 2024, at 4:38 PM EDT Fishers, Indiana — “As we head into the weekend, we want to remind everyone to be safe and courteous on the roadways!” That’s how, shortly before noon on Friday, April 12, Fishers Police began a post with an accompanying video on X, the former name of Twitter. In the 37-second video, a policeman attempts to stop a motorcycle rider by activating their sirens. The dashcam footage is timestamped on Wednesday, April 10 at 9 a.m.

Five seconds into the clip, police put a red circle around the motorcyclist, with the words “104 mph” next to the driver, alleging that is how quickly the motorcyclist was going. The motorcyclist is also seen standing on the seat while going back and forth in the middle lane of an interstate throughout most of the video.

At the 23-second mark, the officer passes the motorcyclist. Three seconds later, the motorcyclist – who is now sitting on the seat instead of standing – is seen passing the officer.

The clip concludes with a graphic that reads, “Stay safe, Fishers!”

Police said officers stopped the motorcyclist and arrested the person for reckless driving.
