The following details describe the groups that were drawn for the 2024 Summer Olympics’ basketball competition on Tuesday in Switzerland. -Men’s Group A: Canada, Australia, Winners of the Spain Qualification (Angola, Bahamas, Finland, Lebanon, Poland, Spain) and the Greece Qualification (Croatia, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Greece, New Zealand, Slovenia) -Men’s Group B: Brazil, Cameroon, Georgia, Latvia, Montenegro, Philippines, France, Germany, and Japan; winner of the Latvia qualifier.

The winners of the Puerto Rico qualifying round were the United States, Serbia, South Sudan, and Bahrain, Italy, Ivory Coast, Lithuania, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. -Group A for women: Spain, Serbia, China, and Puerto Rico -Group B for women: Nigeria, Australia, Canada, and France -Group C for women: Japan, Belgium, Germany, and the United States.

When it comes to basketball, New York should be well-represented in the Olympics, particularly on the American side. Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart will play in group play against their colleague Nyara Sabally and her sister Satou from Germany, while Jalen Brunson may play against Bojan Bogdanovic if he is invited back to the men’s team.
