The Oklahoma City Thunder were allowed to rearrange their roster after acquiring Gordon Hayward. The Thunder switched Lindy Waters III to a normal contract in order to create two available roster places, which allowed them to sign Adam Flagler to a two-way contract.

The Oklahoma City Thunder successfully completed a three-for-one trade by sending Gordon Hayward to Charlotte along with Vasilije Micic, Tre Mann, and Davis Bertans. The Thunder have two open roster spots after adding the seasoned forward.

Lindy Waters III became a standard NBA contract holder for the second consecutive season, filling one of four slots for standard contracts.

The Thunder decided to use the buyout market with their second free roster space, signing veteran big man Bismack Biyombo to a contract good for the remainder of the season. Biyombo will provide the Thunder with a change-of-pace big man, but his contract is open-ended.

That location was not empty for long thanks to Oklahoma City. Oklahoma City is making the most of the 18 roster places available since they are a team that appreciates the NBA G League.

Guard Adam Flagler of the OKC Blue has been called up by the Thunder to a two-way contract, allowing him to play for the Thunder for the balance of the season. But no player with a two-way deal can participate in the postseason.

Flagler has participated in 13 games for the Blue this season, scoring 44.5 percent from the field, 40.5 percent from outside the arc, and 90 percent from the charity line while averaging 12.4 points, 3.1 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and a stock per game.

The Baylor graduate earned an NCAA Championship with the University of Baylor. This is the second consecutive year that the Thunder have signed a player on a two-way contract to help them finish the season as a member of the Bear National Title squad.

Flagler may contribute by handling the ball, setting himself up as a scorer and keeping his defensive part of the deal. He contests shots skillfully using his leverage, body posture, and technique, and he has the foot speed to stay up with elusive guards.

Flagler is presently on the West Coast with the OKC Blue, so it appears that Tuesday in Orlando will be the earliest he can likely join the varsity team. But post-All-Star Break would also make sense as a starting point.
