Following Dominick Barlow’s two-way contract conversion to a conventional deal, the San Antonio Spurs are expanding their roster with the addition of another two-way player. The Spurs have formally signed former Miami Heat guard Jamaree Bouyea to a two-way contract, according to reports from Keith Smith of Spotrac. On March 1, Shams Charania first revealed that Bouyea will be joining the Spurs.

“Jamaree Bouyea signed a two-year two-way contract with the San Antonio Spurs, a league source told @spotrac,” Smith wrote on Wednesday. In the 2022 NBA Draft, San Francisco native Bouyea was not selected. He initially signed with the Miami Heat, but before the season began, he was waived and signed with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, Miami’s G League club.

On February 10, 2023, he made his NBA debut against the Houston Rockets after agreeing to a 10-day contract with the Heat. Later, Bouyea agreed to two separate deals with the Portland Trail Blazers and Washington Wizards.

Bouyea has played 11.6 minutes per game and averaged 2.3 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in his 11 NBA games. In a loss to the Denver Nuggets in February 2023, he scored a career-high 10 points while playing for the Heat. On Thursday, the Spurs go to the Golden 1 Center to play the Sacramento Kings.
