The San Antonio Spurs will play the second game of a home back-to-back against the Houston Rockets at Frost Bank Center tonight after losing to the Golden State Warriors on Monday. But even though the Spurs are playing Golden State, they might not have forward Keldon Johnson for their game versus Houston.

The Spurs added Johnson to Tuesday’s injury report, listing him as questionable vs. the Rockets due to a stomach illness. He posted 16 points and six rebounds in the 112-102 loss to Golden State.

The other notable name already on the injury report was Cedi Osman, who is out with a left ankle sprain.

This season, Johnson has averaged 16.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists. If he’s able, the Spurs will need Johnson in a rivalry game that means a little more. The Rockets beat the Spurs 114-101 on March 5 in a game that featured a scuffle between Jermey Sochan and Amen Thompson.

Though it’s not how anyone would have preferred it, San Antonio might have an advantage this time around. Alperen Sengun, the top big man for the Rockets, will miss Tuesday’s game due to a significant ankle sprain and a bone bruise in his right knee sustained on Sunday against the Sacramento Kings. Sengun was fortunate to escape a serious injury, but supporters will have to wait until the next season to witness another matchup between him and Victor Wembanyama of the Spurs.
