According to Kevin Walters Report; The Brisbane Broncos has completed a deal transaction of $850 million deal contract for…

Coach Kevin Walters will allegedly receive a three-year contract increase from Broncos powerbrokers, extending his employment to the end of 2026. Walters’ present contract expires at the end of the 2025 campaign, but a new agreement will extend his tenure by a further year and enhance his income. Despite Red Hill having lost two of its first three games in 2024, the move is viewed as a major vote of confidence for the guy who has orchestrated a remarkable turnaround at the school.

Fox League’s James Hooper revealed the news on NRL360 on Wednesday night.

Hooper stated, “More good news out of Red Hill: Kevvie agreed to an upgrade and an extension; he was signed for this year and next year already.” “They’ve given him until 2026 as well, giving him six years to attempt to end this drought that began in 2006.”

“I believe that is the proper decision. Kevvie demonstrated this with a few of the summertime decisions he made, the players he let go of, and the speed he attempted to infuse into the backline. “Kevvie can coach the style of football he’s trying to implement.” In addition to the way the Broncos are playing, he has improved in terms of both recruiting and game management.

NRL360 host Braith Anasta also hailed the turnaround of attitudes regarding Walters’ tenure, with doubts consistently lingering surrounding his abilities as a coach.

Two of his players, Selwyn Cobbo and Tyson Gamble, as went on different podcasts and were scathing in their assessment of their coach.

However, after reaching a grand final in 2023, The Daily Telegraph’s Paul Kent believes he’s been able to “unite” Brisbane’s playing group.

“There were a lot of questions marks and conjecture over whether the players respected him when he first started,” Anasta said.

“Those well-known players are sticking with him in addition to their admiration for him.” “I think that upset some young kids coming through because he’s his own style and doesn’t fit into that cookie cutter style a lot of coaches do,” Kent remarked. They were thinking, “Hang on, but Kevvie’s demonstrated the ability to bring people together; the Broncos are one team now.” They have done a terrific job of recruiting; that is half the fight. Walters took over as head coach of the Broncos in 2020 after the team finished last in the league under Anthony Seibold, and he is in his fourth season there as of 2024.
