T.J. Warren, a former player for the Phoenix Suns, has signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
NBA insider Shams Charania claims that the Minnesota Timberwolves are reportedly signing former Phoenix Suns forward T.J. Warren to a second ten-day deal. “Sources said that TJ Warren is inking a second 10-day contract with the Timberwolves. Over the course of four games for Minnesota, Warren has averaged almost five points in 16 minutes a game, according to Charania on Twitter/X.
Warren stated earlier in the season that he wanted to return to the NBA after overcoming injury issues. With Minnesota, who are 45-21 and only 1.5 games behind the top seed in the West, it appears that Warren will get another chance. After undergoing surgery to repair his left meniscus, Wolves star Karl-Anthony Towns will be sidelined indefinitely.
Early in March, Warren signed his first ten-day contract with Minnesota. Due to injury, he did not play anywhere in 2023. As the postseason approaches, he turns 30 years old. Warren joined the Suns in 2014–15 and continued to play for them until the previous season. He was a part of the historic deal that brought Kevin Durant to Phoenix, which involved the Brooklyn Nets.
After joining the Suns at the trade deadline, he made 16 appearances in their lineup.
