Sharks get multi-year agreement for cult star at NRL Transfer Centre, a “special place.”
With cult star Toby Rudolf signing a contract deal that will keep him with the Sharks until 2026, the team’s forward stock has increased.
“A prop that works hard.” The Sharks announced in a statement that Toby Rudolf has extended his contract until the end of 2026, giving Sharks supporters an early Christmas present.
Known for his exuberant demeanor, Rudolf has been a vital member of the Cronulla forward group since his 2020 NRL debut.
After 81 games thus far, the 27-year-old has made a name for himself as one of the best front-row players in the league.
“An important off-field contributor, Rudolf’s commitment to numerous community projects brought him a nomination for the esteemed Ken Stephen Medal in 2023.”
In the midst of getting ready for a big 2024 campaign, Rudolf expressed gratitude for landing a new two-year contract and stated he had always intended to stay in the Sutherland Shire.
“I came here in 2019, and I’ve signed for two more. This is my fifth year here, and I’m heading into my sixth,” Rudolf stated.
“I would have told you that you were dreaming if you had asked me at the beginning of my job if I would stay here for over ten years.
It’s starting to hold a particular place in my heart. I’ve spent my entire NRL career here, and I plan to stay for a little while more. That would be the cherry on top if I could finish this. It’s a unique location, and I’m glad to be a part of it.
