You can’t win them all, even though Ohio State football is currently experiencing one of its biggest recruiting runs ever. Florida 2026 quarterback Dia Bell was seriously considering joining the Buckeyes, but it doesn’t appear that will be the case as he committed to Texas on Monday afternoon.
Both Jared Curtis, who has committed to Georgia, and Ohio State’s top two signal-calling targets in that class have now been lost to them. Anticipate the Buckeyes to intensify their recruitment efforts towards Brady Smigiel of California and Faizon Brandon of North Carolina. They all currently have offers from Ohio State.
There is also a possibility for a flip of Bell or Curtis since it’s a very long way until the 2026 class can sign their letters of intent.
Coach Ryan Day and Ohio State University have successfully landed one of the top wide receivers in the country. 2025 All-American Quincy Porter from Bergen Catholic High School in New Jersey has committed to the Buckeyes. According to 247Sports, Porter is the No. 90 overall prospect in the nation and a four-star prospect.
Porter will play in the annual East vs. West matchup inside the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The Bowl will be nationally televised, live on NBC and Peacock, and will feature the nation’s top 100 high school football players.
