West, a native of San Antonio, made his debut as a Bobcat in 2022, starting every game for the team.
According to PFF rankings, he was one of the finest pass-blocking tackles in the Sun Belt and gave up just two sacks on over 500 pass attempts by the Bobcats. Throughout the season, he participated in 831 of Texas State’s 850 offensive snaps.
During his first four years of college, West was a member of one of the Lone Star Conference’s best offenses and had 29 appearances in 29 games while attending Texas A&M-Commerce.
With a 3-0 record going into the week, the Breakers hold the top spot in the USFL South Division and are the only club in the league still without a loss.
They lead the league in total yards per game (393.0) and passing yards per game (263.7), which indicates that they have the best offense in the league.
West is the fourth 2022 Bobcat to commit to a professional deal. Following the 2023 NFL Draft, NFL players Levi Bell (Baltimore Ravens), Nelson Mbanasor (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), and London Harris (Indianapolis Colts, Rooke minicamp tryout) all signed with teams.
