The General Manager Kyler Pilling of Virginia Tech has been finally agreed with the deal transaction for….

In the 2023 NFL Draft, the Virginia Tech Hokies had just one player taken.

Chamarri Conner, a four-year starter, was that player. Conner was chosen by the Kansas City Chiefs, the reigning world champions, in the fourth round at No. 119 overall.

This week, Conner inked his first NFL deal, according to Aaron Wilson of Houston’s KPRC2.

Conner, a three-star recruit from Jacksonville, Florida’s Trinity Christian Academy, was part of Virginia Tech’s 2018 recruiting class. For the Hokies, he appeared in 60 games over his career, starting 47 of them.

Conner played four seasons as a starter, which is practically unheard of in Power 5 football. With 314 tackles at the end of his collegiate career, he recorded 21 stops for loss, 7.5 sacks, and four interceptions.

Conner’s deal details were not made public, however Charles Goldman of Chiefs Wire predicted that Connor would receive a $4.59 million four-year contract with a $937K salary-cap figure for 2023, a $751K signing bonus, and other benefits based on a projected rookie wage scale.
