The potential acquisition of Everton by the Friedkin Group, led by American billionaire Dan Friedkin who also owns Roma, will not proceed as planned. Last month, the group had entered an exclusive negotiation period, but a recent statement indicated that both parties have mutually agreed that Everton should now consider other possibilities.

Everton has announced that the Friedkin Group’s proposed takeover will not proceed.

Everton owner Farhad Moshiri recently started exclusive talks with the Friedkin Group about potentially buying the Merseyside club. However, those discussions have now fallen through.

The collapse of the takeover is expected to not affect Everton’s transfer plans for this window. The club is financially secure in the short term, and efforts to find a long-term solution will resume.
