K-State secures commitment from five-star recruit Jordan Speiser.
Kansas State head coach Jeff Mittie and his staff have secured a commitment from five-star recruit Jordan Speiser, a Top 20 player in the Class of 2025.
Speiser, a 6-foot-1 guard from Lutheran St. Charles in Warrenton, Missouri, who also plays for the All Iowa Attack club team, announced her decision on social media:
“HOME #COMMITTED … K STATE BABY! @KStateWBB” — Jordan Speiser (@jordan_speiser) September 13, 2024
The reigning Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year chose Kansas State over other leading programs, notably Iowa. Last season, she nearly averaged a double-double with 22.9 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.
Recognized for her exceptional shooting, Speiser demonstrated her skills nationally, including at Nike Nationals.
Mittie and the Wildcats are coming off a thrilling 2023-24 season that included hosting the first two rounds of March Madness in Manhattan. K-State reached as high as No. 2 in the national rankings and earned a four-seed in the NCAA Tournament.
With K-State set to be a strong contender for the Big 12 title next season, Speiser’s commitment further enhances the program’s momentum.
