A male high school classmate of Campbell’s daughter leaked the Lions coach’s home address on Social media, according to a report from The Detroit News.
According to a report by The Detroit News, Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell’s home address was shared on Snapchat by a classmate of his daughter. Following this leak, several upset fans gathered outside Campbell’s home in Bloomfield Township, Michigan, on January 28, just hours after the Lions lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game.
Local authorities conducted a police investigation following the incident and found that Dan Campbell’s address had been leaked online by a male high school classmate of his daughter. The classmate shared the address on Snapchat with a caption saying, “Dumb f— trying to go for it.”
After Campbell’s daughter alerted her parents that people were arriving at their home, they reached out to the police. Holly Campbell had attended the NFC Championship game in San Francisco with Dan.
Investigators informed the couple that the doxxing of Campbell’s address did not meet the criteria for criminal charges.
The Campbells have since relocated from their Bloomfield Township home due to the incident. Meanwhile, the Lions hold a 2-1 record for the season after securing a 20-13 win against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. They will host the Seahawks for Monday Night Football on September 30.
