The Brisbane Broncos have finalized a $750 deal for a premiership-winning second-rower, who has been released by the Broncos, signed a three-year contract with the Warriors after meeting with their coach, Andrew Webster. Despite having a contract until the end of 2024, the Broncos decided to let him go.
Coach Kevin Walters praised Capewell for his contributions on and off the field since joining in 2021. Warriors’ GM Andrew McFadden expressed excitement about bringing Capewell in early, noting his experience will greatly benefit the team’s younger players. Webster highlighted Capewell’s winning mentality and work ethic, expecting him to make a substantial impact. During his time with the Broncos, Capewell played in 43 games.
